Legal Guarantee

๐Ÿ“œ Warranty Terms and Conditions โ€“ Techno Casting

Techno Casting guarantees its customers the conformity of the products purchased, in accordance with the Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), applicable exclusively to private consumers (natural persons who purchase for purposes other than entrepreneurial, commercial, artisanal, or professional activities).

โœ… Warranty Duration

  • The legal guarantee lasts 12 months from the date of delivery of the goods.
  • It only covers defects of conformity already present at the time of delivery.
  • The warranty applies only if the product has been used in accordance with the instructions, limitations and intended uses indicated by Techno Casting.

๐Ÿ“Œ Conditions of validity

To be eligible for the warranty, all of the following conditions must be met:

  1. Presentation of proof of purchase: invoice, receipt, or order number issued by Techno Casting.
  2. Absence of tampering: the product must not have been opened, disassembled, modified or repaired by unauthorized persons.
  3. Aesthetic and structural integrity: the product must not show any breaks, deformations, deep scratches, oxidations or other signs of improper use.
  4. Improper use: Any use of the dinghy that does not comply with the manufacturer's instructions and warnings is considered improper use.
Such uses will immediately void the warranty and may cause irreversible damage to the hull, engines and electronics.
    • Trolling or hauling of any kind: The boat is not designed to tow lines, bait, objects, or devices. Lines may only be hauled and released using the releases, with a maximum weight of 250 g per single release and 500 g total. Any other use constitutes towing and generates abnormal stress and water infiltration.
    • Exceeding the maximum weight on the releases: loads exceeding the foreseen limits can deform the releases, stress the hull and cause cracks with infiltrations into the internal compartments, damaging the engines and electronics.
    • Excessively prolonged sessions: use exceeding 12 minutes or over 1000 m in total increases thermal and mechanical stress, reduces the effectiveness of seals and can cause leaks through shafts and propellers.
    • Impacts or collisions with rocks, submerged obstacles, nets, or boats can damage the hull or misalign the drive shafts, opening gaps for direct water entry.
    • Imprudent driving: excessive speed in rough seas or strong winds, sudden maneuvers or in the vicinity of nets and buoys increase the risk of capsizing, collisions and compromise of the seals with leaks.
    • Unauthorized alterations or modifications: holes, homemade seals, interventions on the hull, antennas, electronics or releases compromise the watertightness, encouraging progressive infiltration.
    • Lack of routine maintenance: Failure to clean, grease, and inspect shafts, propellers, and gaskets leads to deterioration of the seal, resulting in slow leaks and internal corrosion.
    • Use in unsuitable environments: icy waters, shallow waters, heavy vegetation (algae) or excessive currents can block propellers and transmissions, causing stress and water ingress.
    • Using unsuitable batteries or chargers: may cause overheating, swelling or internal deformations that reduce the seal of the closures, resulting in leaks in the battery compartments and damage to the electronics.
    • Exposure to extreme conditions: heavy rain, prolonged direct sunlight, sand, or accidental drops can cause seals to stiffen, resulting in microcracks or breaks that become water entry points.
    • Improper use of the release function: manually forcing the mechanism or using it to transport loads other than fishing line/bait can loosen the closures and encourage localized infiltrations.
    • Improper storage: Storage in humid or impact-prone environments can cause condensation, oxidation of the contacts, and micro-cracks to the hull, paving the way for water infiltration.
  5. Original accessories: the product must be sent for assistance complete with the original accessories relevant to the reported defect (batteries, antennas, remote controls, etc.).
  6. Cleanliness: The product must be sent clean, free of sand, salt, mud, algae or other residues that may hinder diagnosis or repair.
  7. Damage prevention: the customer must demonstrate that they have adopted all the preventive measures indicated in the manual (closing caps, maintaining seals, drying after use, etc.).
  8. Prompt reporting: Any defects must be reported to Techno Casting within 7 days of their appearance.

โŒ Warranty Exclusions

All of the following cases are excluded from the warranty, even if they occur within the warranty period:

  1. Physical damage: impacts, falls, crushing, impacts with obstacles or boats, hull deformations, breakage of plastic or metal parts.
  2. Damage from immersion or infiltration: any damage resulting from the ingress of water, sand, mud, algae or salt into the product, even if resulting from use in the sea or lakes, due to:
    • Failure to close or damage the caps
    • Wear or incorrect maintenance of the seals
    • Exposure to waves, rough seas or light swell (waves maximum 80 cm) and, in any case, exceeding the conditions indicated for the model.
  3. Electrical damage: short circuits, oxidation, burns to electronic boards caused by infiltrations, incorrect battery connections, overvoltages, reverse polarity or the use of incompatible chargers.
  4. Improper use:
    • Towing or hauling of any kind
    • Exceeding the maximum weight allowed on the releases (200g)
    • Modification of the hull structure or the release system
    • Use in waters with ice or submerged obstacles
    • Driving at excessive speed in unsafe conditions
  5. Natural wear and tear: Consumption of components subject to deterioration such as batteries, propellers, LEDs, gaskets, connectors, screws, bearings.
  6. Unauthorized interventions: openings, modifications, repairs or calibrations carried out by third parties not authorized by Techno Casting.
  7. Cosmetic damage: scratches, discoloration, oxidation, stains due to exposure to sun, salt, or chemicals.
  8. Customized or modified products: any aesthetic or technical customization voids the warranty.
  9. Optional accessories and additional systems (even if purchased together with the product):
    • TC SeaUNIcorn / TC SeAres Stabilizers
    • Echo sounders
    • TC Duo Power System
    • TC Supernova additional lights
except for original defects reported within 48 hours of delivery.
  10. Batteries: excluded from the warranty as they are subject to natural performance degradation over time.
  11. Transport damage: any damage that occurs during shipment to Techno Casting if the product was not packaged correctly.

๐Ÿšš Shipping costs

  • Shipping and return costs are always paid by the customer, even in the event of warranty work.
